hi, my name is salvador chavez and was looking for some contact info and to my disbeleif read some negitave comments. witch are not only false but saden me because if it was’nt for morningstar I would not be who i am. I proudly state that i became coordinator of the B.A.S.E program for Y.M.C.A in yakima,wash also teachers bilingual parapro at adams elementary yakima currently i am almost a certified microsoft networking engineer. attended 1987-1988. would like to contact fellow classmates.keep up the good work.also proud to have been first senior at morningstar.

I was going to post my thoughts on all the news that i have read and letters , not to forget the calls from lawers underlings looking for dirt on Morning star. I and my two brothers Doug and David were at morning star in the late 60’s early 70’s. I myself had the honor of recieving the chance to go to Morning star . I have Father Joe to thank for the invite. I was 15 almost 16 , Morning Star gave me a home, love, ah i could go on but i just want to say that Thank You, Father Joe you and your staff for the all of you guidance. It takes that special person or person’s who can give 150% to all to us kids who were and are from different life’s. I pray for Morning Star’s and will alway’s remember the life i had .

I was reading about the allegations of abuse, and I must say It is completely ridiculous. I was there from 1990-1993 and was only treated with respect and care. I never was abused, by staff or Father Joe. I think the men who have come forward just want attention, and a distraction from the lives the lead. I want to also state that I witnessed no abuse by staff, nor ever eve heard rumors of abuse. There was some fights between boys and that is about it. Thank you. Jason Shores.
